Cultural and cinematic events scheduled for September 2026

In Mexico City, Open House CDMX Día de Muertos has announced ticket sales for its 2026 edition, scheduled from October 30 to November 3. The event will showcase contemporary architectural interpretations of Day of the Dead traditions across five emblematic zones, including Polanco, Condesa, and Roma Norte.

The film industry sees significant activity with various theatrical and streaming releases. Notable theatrical titles include a new Resident Evil adaptation, the documentary Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger, and the Spanish production La bola negra. In Mexico, Cinépolis will host musical events such as Katy Perry’s The Lifetimes Tour, alongside re-releases of classics like Terminator 2 and Avengers: Endgame.

On streaming platforms, Disney+ is set to release Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, which is expected to perform strongly following its theatrical run.
