Puebla: Woman shot dead in clothing store during suspected gang retaliation

A woman was shot and killed on Friday morning inside her clothing business in the Santa Lucía neighborhood, located in the southern part of Puebla. According to reports, armed individuals entered the premises, which also served as the victim's residence, and fired multiple shots at close range before fleeing the scene.

Local authorities and paramedics arrived at the location on Tikal Street, but confirmed the woman had already passed away. Preliminary investigations by the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) suggest the homicide may be a case of retaliation or a settlement of accounts. Police noted that the victim reportedly had recent injuries and allegedly maintained links to local drug trafficking activities.

Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage and collecting ballistic evidence to identify the perpetrators.
