Puebla deputy proposes harsher penalties for crimes against elderly and school committees

In Puebla, Deputy Guadalupe Yamak Taja has introduced an initiative to reform Article 400 of the State Penal Code. The proposal seeks to establish specific penalties for property crimes committed against elderly individuals, parent associations, and school participation councils.

The initiative suggests prison sentences ranging from three to ten years and fines between one hundred and one thousand Units of Measure and Update (UMA). The measure aims to protect resources intended for collective educational needs and to provide reinforced security for elderly populations considered vulnerable.
