Puebla family installs memorial for Paulina Camargo 11 years after disappearance

On the 11th anniversary of her disappearance, family and supporters of Paulina Camargo Limón gathered in Puebla to install a memorial tree. The steel monument, decorated with butterflies, serves as a tribute to Paulina and her unborn child, as well as a reminder of other missing women in the region.

Although Paulina’s former partner, José María Sosa, was sentenced to over 50 years in prison for her disappearance, her family remains in search of answers. Despite the judicial ruling, the whereabouts of Paulina and her baby remain unknown. Her parents, Rocío Limón and Ronaldo Camargo, stated that while the sentence is a step toward justice, it does not resolve the fundamental question of what happened to her or where her remains might be located.
