Puebla government advances Cablebús project with focus on legal permits

The government of Puebla is moving forward with the Cablebús mobility project, emphasizing that no construction will begin without the necessary municipal and federal permits and licenses. José Luis García Parra, state cabinet coordinator, confirmed that some permits for the nine planned stations are already secured and announced the launch of a transparency microsite to allow public oversight of the project.

Regarding land acquisition, the government is in discussions with the Jenkins Foundation following a public declaration for the expropriation of a property needed for a station in the Xonaca area. The project also includes urban improvements, such as the rehabilitation of the Bosque Urbano del Centro Escolar ‘Niños Héroes de Chapultepec’ (Cenhch), which will feature new trails, playgrounds, and native reforestation.

Deputy Xel Arianna Hernández García described the approval of land donations for the stations as a vote of confidence in the city's mobility needs. She noted that while infrastructure will be installed, only fractions of existing parks or public areas will be affected, and emphasized the importance of maintaining citizen participation and transparency throughout the implementation process.
