Puebla government begins road expansion to La Resurrección

The government of Puebla, led by Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier, has commenced the expansion and paving of a six-kilometer stretch of the road to La Resurrección. The project, located between 106 Oriente and the San Miguel Canoa road, aims to address a 70-year infrastructure deficit for indigenous communities in the northern zone of the capital.

The work is divided into two stages: expanding two kilometers to four lanes and intervening in a four-kilometer section with two lanes. The project includes the construction of a 140-meter retaining wall near Technical Secondary School 35 to stabilize the terrain. Additional infrastructure improvements include sidewalks, drainage, specialized trenches for PEMEX ducts, public lighting, green areas, and the relocation of CFE and Telmex utility poles.

This project is expected to directly benefit over 400,000 residents and indirectly impact 1.6 million people in Puebla. It also aims to improve connectivity to the Ecoparque La Malintzi and support local gastronomic tourism.
