Mexico public health infrastructure receives regional upgrades

The Government of Puebla is implementing various community works and health improvements through the ‘Obra Comunitaria’ program. In the Serdán region, an investment of over 14 million pesos is supporting 63 projects across 46 localities, including schools, sports facilities, and water systems. Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier noted that women play a central role in managing these resources as treasurers. Additionally, SEDIF Puebla has invested over 3.4 million pesos to provide medical equipment, oncological supplies, and orthopedic devices to four health units, including the General Hospital of Cholula and the General Hospital of the South.

In Mexico City, the ISSSTE has completed the comprehensive rehabilitation of three operating rooms at the ‘Leonardo y Nicolás Bravo’ Specialty Clinic. Under the National Operating Room Rehabilitation Program, works included upgrading floors, ceilings, electrical systems, and air conditioning. This project aims to strengthen surgical services for approximately 400,000 beneficiaries in the capital.
