Mexico expands sports facilities with new padel courts, school domes and housing deliveries

In the state of Puebla, Governor Alejandro Armenta inaugurated four new padel courts and a café at the Parque del Arte, a project funded with 9 million pesos and a public‑private partnership. The courts can serve about 130 users daily and are part of a broader plan that also adds padel courts to other state parks and refurbishes neglected golf areas.

In Quintana Roo, President Claudia Sheinbaum and Governor Mara Lezama opened 46 new sports courts across the state’s 11 municipalities and completed more than 300 school domes to protect students from heat and rain, citing the “Mundial Social 2026” initiative.

The same federal‑state leaders also delivered 240 homes in Cancún under the “Vivienda para el Bienestar” program, providing housing titles and FOVISSSTE settlements to families in need.
