Puebla launches initiatives to promote youth artistic talent

The state of Puebla is launching several initiatives to promote and document the artistic talents of its youth. Fritz Glockner Corte, the Secretary of Culture, introduced ‘Ruta de las Voces, el ritmo de Puebla’, a program targeting individuals aged 18 to 29 across the state's 217 municipalities. Rather than a traditional singing competition, the initiative aims to create a vocal registry to connect regional performers with local government events and festivals. Selected voices may appear on a state television program through SICOM, and eight performers could receive international exposure at Puebla's representative houses in cities such as Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago.

In a separate cultural event, the First State Mexican Folkloric Dance Contest was held at the BUAP University Cultural Complex. The competition involved 17 upper secondary education institutions from across the state. During the event, world boxing champion Gaby ‘La Bonita’ Sánchez encouraged students to pursue their artistic goals with discipline and perseverance, emphasizing the importance of youth participation in building the future of Puebla.
