Puebla launches neighborhood assemblies for Cablebús project

The Government of Puebla is launching a series of neighborhood assemblies in the areas where the new Cablebús urban mobility system will be installed. State Cabinet Coordinator José Luis García Parra announced that these meetings aim to listen to residents' concerns and questions regarding the construction of towers, stations, and transfer nodes.

Addressing environmental concerns, García Parra denied allegations of “ecocide,” stating that the project includes the rigorous transplantation of 77 trees in accordance with current regulations and permits. He emphasized that the project is supported by over 70 technical, financial, and environmental studies.

Construction is progressing as licenses are approved, with preliminary works starting in Biblioteca, Juárez, and Amalucan parks. The official noted that while some opponents have protested, the administration intends to maintain open communication through these assemblies to address potential local impacts. The final stations, located in the CIS and Mayorazgo areas, are expected to begin construction toward the end of October.
