Puebla leverages major festivals and conferences to boost tourism and economy

Puebla hosted the National Coffee Convention (CONCAFÉ) 2026, attracting close to 40,000 visitors over four days and showcasing the state’s coffee production, with winners highlighted in barista and cup‑quality competitions.

The state will also hold the International Culture and Motorcycling Festival (FIC Moto) in August 2026, expecting more than 25,000 attendees, over 5,000 hotel rooms occupied and an economic spillover of more than 60 million pesos. The Mexican Petroleum Congress will return to Puebla in 2027, drawing over 10,000 specialists and generating an estimated 400 million‑peso impact. Governor Alejandro Armenta noted that these events have helped lift Puebla from sixth to fourth place among Mexico’s most‑visited states, creating jobs and strengthening the regional tourism and service sectors.
