Puebla marks museum's 82nd and Huauchinango's 165th anniversaries

The state government of Puebla commemorated the 82nd anniversary of the Museo José Luis Bello y González, celebrating its 1944 opening in a historic Porfirian mansion that still houses the original family collection of over three thousand artworks from the Americas, Europe and Asia. The festivities featured a special recital on the museum’s 18th‑century tubular organ and highlighted the support of Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier and President Claudia Sheinbaum for preserving the region’s cultural heritage.

Separately, the Pueblo Mágico of Huauchinango celebrated 165 years as a city with a program of cultural, culinary and artisanal events aimed at boosting tourism. Officials from the state’s Secretariat of Tourism promoted the town’s traditions, local cuisine, handicrafts and the Museo de la Huasteca, underscoring the administration’s goal of strengthening the local economy and positioning Puebla as a leading national tourist destination.
