Puebla mayor launches free animal‑wellness services in San Pablo Xochimehuacan

Mayor Pepe Chedraui of Puebla led a free Animal Well‑Being Day in the San Pablo Xochimehuacan auxiliary council. The event offered complimentary veterinary services, including sterilizations, vaccinations, adoption drives and educational talks on responsible pet ownership. The municipal government highlighted that, since the start of the current administration, more than 16,000 animals have been sterilized, 125,000 vaccinations administered, and over 230 similar welfare sessions have been held across the city. The program is coordinated by the Secretariat of the Environment, headed by Iván Herrera, and aims to improve public health and promote respectful treatment of companion animals.
