Cuautlancingo to hold citizen consultation on health university site
The Governor of Puebla, Alejandro Armenta Mier, has announced that the location for the Rosario Castellanos National University's Health Sciences Academic Unit in Cuautlancingo will be determined through a citizen consultation. The state government will convene an assembly for local residents to vote on the proposed site.
If the majority of residents approve the location and no adverse impacts are identified, construction will proceed as planned. If the community rejects the site, the government will seek an alternative location. The project has an allocated budget of 100 million pesos and aims to provide specialized training for doctors and nursing professionals.
Omar Muñoz, representing the Cuautlancingo municipal government, expressed support for the consultation process, emphasizing the importance of transparency and community dialogue in expanding higher education opportunities for local youth.
