Puebla Mayor Pepe Chedraui reviews two years of administration
Puebla Mayor Pepe Chedraui marked two years in office by outlining a vision for a modern, inclusive, and prosperous city. The administration is focusing on order, coordination, and addressing citizen needs through collaboration with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum and Puebla Governor Alejandro Armenta.
Governor Armenta emphasized a joint strategy to tackle violence, poverty, and youth opportunities while respecting human rights. The coordinated efforts between municipal and state governments aim to improve security, infrastructure, and social welfare.
In terms of physical infrastructure, the city is advancing the modernization of the pluvial catchment system on Héroes del 5 de Mayo Boulevard. This project, which includes constructing large storm grates and cleaning drainage vaults, is intended to benefit over 1.6 million residents by improving rainwater conduction toward the San Francisco River.
