Puebla officials seek transfer of high-risk inmates to federal prisons
The Puebla Public Security Secretariat (SSP) is re-submitting requests to federal authorities to transfer 20 high-risk inmates from the San Miguel prison to federal penitentiaries. Among the inmates identified for transfer is José Christian N., known as "El Bukanas."
Francisco Sánchez González, the head of the SSP, noted that while the initial request involved 20 individuals, the department plans to refine and potentially reduce the number of applicants to increase the likelihood of approval, given the limited space available in federal prisons. The move aims to reduce instability within the state-run facility.
