Puebla police detain 18‑year‑old suspected drug and weapon dealer near Mercado Morelos

State police in Puebla arrested 18‑year‑old Orlando Alexis N. in the Lomas Flor del Bosque neighborhood during the Puebla Segura security operation. The raid, conducted near the Mercado Morelos in the city’s capital, uncovered a motorcycle and a cache of substances identified as 61 doses of crystal‑like drug, 10 doses resembling heroin, and four doses of marijuana, together totalling 75 doses. Police also seized nine 9 mm cartridges.

Authorities say intelligence links the suspect to a criminal group with a presence in several Mexican states and to recent violent incidents near the market. The detainee has been transferred to the appropriate ministerial authority for legal processing.
