Puebla State Congress honors local lucha libre athletes

The State Congress of Puebla held a recognition ceremony titled ‘Puebla: Tierra de Luchadores’ to honor the career, dedication, and contributions of local professional wrestlers. Organized by Deputy Fedrha Isabel Suriano Corrales, the event aimed to celebrate the men and women who have contributed to the development and permanence of lucha libre in the region.

During the ceremony, Deputy Pável Gaspar Ramírez, president of the Government and Political Coordination Board, emphasized the importance of recognizing those who have built the history of the sport and serve as examples of perseverance. Deputy Suriano Corrales noted that the recognition honors the athletes' sacrifices and their role as examples for youth in strengthening the social fabric.

Recipients of the recognition included the wrestler Sirio, as well as Pegasso, Lobito, Rey Inmortal, Rey Kraken, Eclipse Jr., Gato Galáctico, Hunter, Rey Samuray, Aerius, Metal Spider, and Dinamik.
