Puebla State Government Improves 6.7 km Road in Tehuacán

The Puebla state government, led by Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier, directed the Secretariat of Infrastructure to repair and resurface a 6.7 km segment of the state highway between San Diego Chalma and Santa Cruz Acapa near Tehuacán. The work involved excavation, base reinforcement, cold‑asphalt laying and debris removal, creating a 7‑metre‑wide, fully traversable lane.

The upgraded road serves an estimated 10,000 vehicles daily, shortening travel times, lowering freight costs and enhancing safety for public transport, commercial trucks and private cars. The project benefited the auxiliary councils of San Diego Chalma, San Pablo Tepetzingo, Santa Cruz Acapa and San Marcos Necoxtla, and was funded in part through a donation of materials from PEMEX under the federal “Senderos de Paz” initiative.
