Puebla to deploy 1,300 security elements for Independence Day

The State Public Security Secretariat (SSP) is deploying a special security operation in the center of Puebla to ensure safety during the Independence Day celebrations and the traditional 'Grito de Independencia' ceremony.

Vice Admiral Francisco Sánchez González announced that the initial force will consist of more than 1,300 elements. This deployment involves inter-institutional coordination between the National Guard, the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), and the Municipal Police. A centralized command post will be established to manage the festivities at the city's Zócalo.

Authorities noted that the number of personnel could increase following a final review of available technological and material resources. Additionally, the Metropolitan Security Complex will maintain surveillance in the surrounding metropolitan areas to provide immediate assistance in case of emergencies.
