Puebla hosts Festival Frecuencias as part of national peace initiative

The Mexican federal and Puebla state governments are collaborating through the Circuito Nacional de Festivales por la Paz to promote community and independent artists. This initiative aims to bring local talent to national and international stages while utilizing public spaces and traditional festivities.

As part of this strategy, the Festival Frecuencias was held at Plaza de la Victoria in Puebla. The event featured a headlining performance by DJ Snake alongside local and national talents such as Feii Vega, Rober Ro, RØZ, and Toy Selectah. The festival integrated various musical genres, including electronic, hip hop, and reggaeton, to provide free cultural access to youth.

To support these efforts, the government is investing in cultural infrastructure. Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier announced that 50 million pesos are allocated for the rehabilitation of libraries, community houses, and outdoor spaces, while another 50 million pesos will strengthen community tourism through gastronomy and cultural routes.
