Puebla's CONCAFÉ 2026 Boosts Coffee Community Wealth

From June 11 to 14, the Puebla Convention Center hosted CONCAFÉ 2026, a national coffee convention aimed at raising income and well‑being for Mexican coffee‑growing families. State Secretary of Agriculture Ana Laura Altamirano Pérez announced practical workshops – from jewelry and sauces to masks, shampoos, candies and chocolate – that teach producers how to add value to their beans. Local participant Lucero López López said the training lets her “support my family and give a better life to my daughter” by creating coffee‑based desserts.

Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier highlighted the delivery of 1,800 new equipment units, support for more than 200,000 hectares with seeds and fertilizer, and the upcoming launch of a second commercial lot of Puebla coffee “Cinco de Mayo.” The event also featured business meetings, machinery displays, barista contests and discussions on climate change, market volatility and consumer demands, reinforcing Puebla’s role as a leading coffee‑producing state in Mexico.
