Puente de Amistad supports 600 women farmers in Quiché

The Puente de Amistad Agricultural Program has supported more than 600 women entrepreneurs in Quiché, Guatemala, since 2015. The initiative provides specialized technical assistance, training, and technological tools to improve crop efficiency and profitability.

To date, 75% of the program's clients have received direct technical assistance on their plots. This support has helped implement phytosanitary plans and better agricultural practices, resulting in a decrease in pests and diseases, as well as improved production costs and harvest profitability.

The program also promotes the use of innovative technologies, such as applications to evaluate crop conditions, specialized irrigation systems, and the use of organic fertilizers, to help producers make more informed decisions.
