Puente de Ixtla completes Colector Poniente rehabilitation

The rehabilitation of the Colector Poniente in the Tilzapotla community of Puente de Ixtla, Morelos, has been officially completed. This infrastructure project aims to improve sanitary services by channeling liquid waste directly to the local wastewater treatment plant.

The project is designed to prevent the contamination of natural water bodies, specifically protecting the Tilzapotla dam from uncontrolled sewage discharges. Local authorities noted that the intervention will also mitigate foul odors in nearby residential areas and reduce health risks, such as gastrointestinal diseases, for the local population.
