Puente de Ixtla launches drainage and sports facility upgrades

Municipal authorities in Puente de Ixtla, Morelos, have launched several infrastructure projects aimed at improving public services and community spaces. Mayor Claudia Mazari Torres oversaw the start of sanitary drainage rehabilitation on Quetzalcóatl Street in the Cuauhtémoc neighborhood. This project involves installing new piping, constructing inspection wells, and repairing residential connections to mitigate flooding risks and eliminate odors caused by deteriorating infrastructure.

Additionally, the municipality has begun the comprehensive renovation of the Las Malvinas Multideportivo in the San José Vista Hermosa community. The project covers more than 11,000 square meters and includes leveling the athletics track, installing new basketball backboards, and constructing a new sanitary services module. The initiative also features a perimeter pedestrian walkway designed to provide safe, modern facilities for local athletes and families.
