Puerto Aventuras launches urban improvement program

Juan Arena, the interim mayor of Puerto Aventuras, has launched an integrated urban improvement program in coordination with the municipal government of Playa del Carmen, led by President Estefanía Mercado.

The initiative focuses on addressing priority community needs in the Puerto Maya neighborhood and surrounding streets. Key actions include debris removal, pothole repair, pruning of hazardous branches, and the cleaning of absorption wells to prevent flooding during the rainy season.

In addition to physical maintenance, the administration is working to strengthen institutional coordination and public service continuity. Officials have conducted direct dialogues with residents to monitor infrastructure requests and ensure that public lighting and sanitation services are optimized.
