Puerto Aysén detention center holds sports Olympics for inmates

The Puerto Aysén Preventive Detention Center (CDP) in Chile recently concluded a series of sports Olympics for both male and female inmates. The event focused primarily on table tennis and baby football.

Organized by the Regional Ministerial Secretariats of Justice and Human Rights and Sports, alongside Gendarmería de Chile and the National Sports Institute (IND), the initiative aimed to promote physical and mental health. Officials stated that such activities serve as tools for social reintegration and help reduce stress levels associated with incarceration.
