Puerto Cisnes receives government funding for autism inclusion projects
The Chilean Ministry of the General Secretariat of Government is financing social inclusion projects in Puerto Cisnes, Aysén. Through the Strengthening of Organizations of Public Interest Fund (FFOIP) and the Media Communication Promotion Fund (FFMCS), the government is supporting the TEAcompañamos group.
The initiative, titled ‘Transition to Adult Life and Progressive Autonomy’, aims to provide tools for autistic individuals and their caregivers to navigate the challenges of adulthood. The project includes community workshops and media dissemination via Radio Revelación to promote equal rights and opportunities.
Regional authorities, including Seremi Bárbara Ortúzar and Mayor Francisco Roncagliolo, participated in a citizen dialogue titled ‘Autism Made Easy and Integral Well-being’ held at the Puerto Cisnes Municipal Library. The event focused on fostering collaborative work between families, health professionals, and educators to promote decentralized inclusion in the Aysén region.
