Puerto Cisnes to host first premium cruise ship in 2027

Puerto Cisnes is set to welcome its first premium cruise ship, the Silver Cloud, on March 7, 2027. Operated by the international Silversea line, the expedition vessel carries approximately 300 passengers and 200 crew members.

This milestone follows a decade of public and private management efforts by the Municipality of Cisnes and the Empresa Portuaria Chacabuco (Emporcha). The arrival validates the operational capacity of the Puerto Cisnes Connectivity Terminal, which is managed by Emporcha through an agreement with the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications and the Directorate of Port Works.

Eduardo Vera, president of Emporcha, stated that the opening to the premium cruise market is the result of a long-term work plan designed to build trust with international shipping operators. The cruise line has scheduled six stops at the Aysén terminal, marking a significant development for maritime tourism in Chile's southern channels.
