Puerto Curtiembre asphalt paving project advances in Entre Ríos

Infrastructure work is progressing on the 18.3 km asphalt paving project connecting Puerto Curtiembre, located in Pueblo General San Martín, to Provincial Route No. 8 near Cerrito. The project represents a provincial investment exceeding 33 billion pesos.

Local authorities and residents report that the road improvements will address long-standing issues regarding accessibility. Previously, heavy rains frequently isolated the area, impacting essential services such as healthcare and education. The new roadway, which includes a 7.30 m wide carriage and improved drainage via culverts, is expected to provide reliable transit regardless of weather conditions.

Local producers in the poultry, livestock, dairy, and agricultural sectors have highlighted the economic importance of the project. The improved infrastructure is expected to facilitate the transport of goods and support future regional development projects.
