Puerto del Rosario launches Spain's first rental deposit aid for youth
Puerto del Rosario has become the first municipality in Spain to launch a specific aid program designed to help young people pay rental deposits for their primary residences. The initiative, introduced by the local City Council, is available to residents aged 18 to 35.
The program aims to reduce the financial barriers to independence by alleviating the high initial costs associated with securing a rental property, which typically requires simultaneous payment of a deposit and the first month's rent. Mayor David de Vera stated that the measure seeks to provide concrete solutions to the housing concerns facing the local youth population.
