Puerto Deseado infrastructure project enters bidding phase
The government of Santa Cruz has initiated a bidding process for the reconstruction of key areas in the Port of Deseado. The project, valued at 12,821 million pesos, aims to rebuild Site No. 4, Sector I, and the terminal's transition zone to restore operational capacity and support the regional fishing and productive sectors.
Financed through the UNIRSE trust, the tender received technical and economic proposals from four companies: Pentamar S.A., Juan Lavigne y Compañía, Dragados y Obras Portuarias S.A., and Prekad S.R.L. Governor Claudio Vidal emphasized that the infrastructure improvements are essential for the province's economic future and for addressing long-standing local demands regarding port deterioration.
