Puerto Iguazú to host 2nd FSC Latin America Ecosystem Services Summit

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) will host the 2nd FSC Latin America Ecosystem Services Summit in Puerto Iguazú, Argentina, on September 9, 2026. The event aims to facilitate regional dialogue on measuring and verifying ecosystem services, such as biodiversity, water, soil protection, and carbon capture, to connect them with markets and financing.

Participants will include forest communities, companies, financial actors, and decision-makers. Discussions will focus on nature-linked financing, verification mechanisms, and investment opportunities. The summit will feature panels on the role of the FSC in ecosystem protection and conservation financing, with contributions from representatives of the UNEP Finance, TNFD, and UN-REDD, as well as practical conservation project experiences from countries including Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, and Bolivia.
