Puerto Libertad man arrested for alleged grooming and extortion

A 33-year-old man was arrested in Puerto Libertad, Argentina, following an investigation into grooming and extortion. The suspect allegedly used Instagram to contact a 14-year-old girl, requesting intimate photographs and subsequently threatening to distribute them when she refused to send more.

The investigation, conducted by the Misiones Police in coordination with the Cybercrime Secretariat and the Puerto Iguazú Judiciary, began in August after the victim's mother filed a report. Authorities executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 Viviendas complex, where they seized a mobile phone to be analyzed for evidence.
