Puerto Morelos and San Pedro Cholula ratify tourism friendship charter

The municipal presidents of Puerto Morelos and San Pedro Cholula, Blanca Merari Tziu Muñoz and Tonantzin Fernández Díaz, respectively, have ratified a Charter of Friendship. The formal act took place during the 50th Tianguis Turístico 2026 in Acapulco, Guerrero.

The agreement aims to establish a collaborative relationship to promote both destinations through cross-promotion. The initiative seeks to connect the coastal and natural attractions of Puerto Morelos in the Mexican Caribbean with the historical, cultural, and gastronomic heritage of San Pedro Cholula in Puebla.

Key objectives of the alliance include fostering gastronomic exchanges, creating exhibition spaces for local artisans and producers, and strengthening links between tourism service providers to generate new opportunities in the tourism, culinary, and commercial sectors.
