Puerto Natales launches first urban public transport system

Puerto Natales has launched its first urban public transport system, known as Red Puerto Natales de Movilidad. The service officially began operations on Friday, October 9, featuring a fleet of nine buses.

The new system includes three distinct routes designed to serve various sectors of the commune. The buses are equipped with universal accessibility features, heating, and Wi-Fi to improve the passenger experience. Authorities noted that the implementation of this service follows years of community demand and represents a collaborative effort between local residents, the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications, and the municipality.
