Puerto Plata to receive direct flights from Romania

Direct charter flights from Bucharest, Romania, will begin service to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, on November 19, 2026. The route, scheduled through early February 2027, will be operated by LOT Polish Airlines using Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft.

Organized by the European tour operator Paralela45, the weekly service will depart from Henri Coandă International Airport every Thursday. The flights are expected to bring approximately 2,772 seats to the Gregorio Luperón International Airport over the course of the season. This new connection aims to diversify the tourist markets for the northern coast of the Dominican Republic, potentially benefiting local hospitality and service sectors in areas such as Sosúa and Cabarete.
