The Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Tourism Enterprises of the North (ASHONORTE) and the Puerto Plata Destination Tourism Cluster participated in the 30th edition of the International Tourism Fair (FIT) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Held from September 26 to 29, the event served as a platform to promote Puerto Plata's tourism offerings to the Argentine market.

More than 10 companies from the destination participated, including hotel properties and tour operators such as Iberostar Costa Dorada, Viva Resorts, and Senator Hoteles & Resorts. The delegation engaged in training sessions, workshops for Argentine travel agents, and business matchmaking meetings to strengthen ties with the local industry.

Argentina remains a strategic market for Puerto Plata as its primary source of travelers. Air connectivity provided by Copa Airlines via Panama continues to facilitate travel between the two regions.
