Puerto Quequén invests in rural road recovery for agricultural sector
The Puerto Quequén Management Consortium is investing in the recovery of rural roads to support the local productive sector following months of intense rainfall. The initiative aims to restore transitability to allow farmers to complete harvests, proceed with planting, and maintain essential agricultural activities.
A major intervention took place at kilometer 40 of National Route 228, where road conditions had become impassable even for four-wheel-drive vehicles due to flooding and deep mud. Restoration efforts included significant earthmoving to remove liquid mud, cleaning culverts, drainage work, and the application of sand and gravel to rebuild the road structure.
Local producers met with consortium officials, including Director and Operational Manager Gustavo Gavilán and Mauro Velázquez from the maritime station's operational area, to express gratitude for the economic support provided to facilitate these repairs.
