Puerto Real nursery schools transition to direct public management

The Cigarrón and Triqui Traque municipal nursery schools in Puerto Real have begun the new school year under a new direct management model. The public company GEN has assumed direct responsibility for the operation of these centers, transitioning from an indirect management system to reinforce the public nature of the service.

Mayor Aurora Salvador and GEN manager Félix Taboada visited the facilities on September 3, 2026, to observe the start of the term. The new management model aims to support early childhood development and facilitate work-life balance for local families by providing reliable childcare services. The centers are designed to ensure equal opportunities and universal access regardless of a family's economic situation.
