Puerto Real residents rate municipal management 4.6/10 as waste‑collection crisis sparks PSOE criticism

A poll conducted by the consultancy Social Data between 8 and 12 June surveyed 400 adult residents of Puerto Real. The average rating for the municipal administration was 4.59 out of 10. 44.7% of respondents described the city’s situation as bad or very bad, while 53.3% gave a negative assessment of the local economy. More than half (56.3%) said conditions had not improved over the past year, and 30.9% felt they had worsened.

The local branch of the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE) in Puerto Real has condemned the “preocupante estado” of waste collection, noting overflowing containers, foul odors and the presence of rats. Party spokesperson Carlos Salguero said, “Son muchos los puertorrealeños que nos han hecho llegar su indignación y su hartazgo por una situación que se repite día tras día.” The PSOE is calling for an immediate reinforcement of cleaning services to protect public health and quality of life.
