Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic remain undefeated in Pan American Volleyball Cup

In the Group A preliminary round of the 2026 Women’s Pan American Volleyball Cup in León, Mexico, both Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic maintained undefeated records.

Puerto Rico defeated Nicaragua 3-0 (25-17, 25-11, 25-9) to improve to a 3-0 record. Ivania Ortiz led the Puerto Rican offense with 12 points. The victory sets up a decisive final group match against the Dominican Republic to determine the group winner and a direct path to the semifinals.

The Dominican Republic, known as the ‘Reinas del Caribe’, secured a 3-1 victory over Canada (25-12, 23-25, 27-25, 25-17) to also reach a 3-0 record. Flormarie Heredia Colón led the Dominican attack with 30 points. Canada remains at a 1-2 record in the group stage.
