Puerto Rico named Guest of Honor for ANATO 2027 tourism fair

Puerto Rico has been named the Guest of Honor for the 46th edition of the ANATO Vitrina Turística, scheduled for February 24–26, 2027, in Bogotá. The announcement was made by ANATO Executive President Paula Cortés Calle and Willianette Robles Cancel, Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (CTPR).

Data from ANATO indicates a significant rise in Colombian travelers to Puerto Rico, with over 37,000 visitors in 2025, a 65.2% increase from the previous year. The designation aims to strengthen bilateral ties and improve air connectivity between the two regions.

In related tourism developments at the fair, the Buenaventura stand was awarded first place for its presentation of Pacific Colombian culture, biodiversity, and gastronomy. The recognition follows Buenaventura's recent rise to fourth place in the Tourism Competitiveness Index, highlighting its growth as a sustainable destination.
