Puerto Rico to host 32nd FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show

Puerto Rico is hosting the 32nd annual Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) Cruise Conference & Trade Show at the Puerto Rico Convention Center from October 12 to 16. The event is expected to draw over 700 delegates and representatives from more than 15 major international cruise lines.

Government officials, including Governor Jenniffer González Colón and Tourism Company Executive Director Willianette Robles Cancel, highlighted the sector's economic importance. During the previous fiscal year, the industry brought over 1.9 million passengers to the island, generating an economic impact exceeding $255 million.

The gathering focuses on strengthening Puerto Rico’s role as a central maritime hub and homeport. Key industry discussions include modernizing port infrastructure in San Juan, implementing sustainable tourism practices such as shore-power integration, and optimizing passenger flow to ensure economic benefits reach local businesses and historic districts.
