Secheep warns of fatal risks from illegal electrical connections in Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña

Secheep, the electricity distributor for the Chaco region, issued a warning after a fatal electrocution occurred in the city of Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña. A man suffered severe burns while attempting an unauthorized connection to the power grid at a downtown shop. Secheep emphasized that illegal tampering with meters, cables and lines poses extreme danger to the individual and to third parties, potentially causing electrocution, fires and irreversible damage. The company urged residents to refrain from handling any electrical equipment and to report problems to the utility.

Secheep’s director‑board member Ariel Muñoz reiterated that only authorized personnel may work on the network and called for community cooperation to prevent further tragedies.
