Puertollano approves Hydnum Steel and Solaria data center projects

Jesús Manchón, spokesperson for the Izquierda Unida municipal group in Puertollano, has highlighted progress on significant industrial projects in the city. The municipal corporation has unanimously approved the Hydnum Steel green steel plant project and the Solaria data center project in La Nava.

The Solaria data center is expected to involve an investment of 150 million euros and create 90 direct jobs during its operational phase.

Additionally, the council approved a modification to the Real Estate Tax (IBI) ordinance, which will take effect on January 1, 2027. This change aims to reduce tax receipts to levels lower than those seen in 2019. Izquierda Unida chose to abstain from this specific vote.
