Puertos Canarios clarifies TSJC ruling on Puerto Rico port

Puertos Canarios has issued a clarification regarding a ruling by the High Court of Justice of the Canary Islands (TSJC) concerning the Puerto Rico sports port. The agency stated that the court's decision recognizes the legal standing of the Mogán City Council to intervene in the administrative procedure due to local interests in urbanism, security, and environmental protection.

However, Puertos Canarios emphasized that the ruling does not grant an extraordinary extension to the current concessionaire, nor does it decide on the pending file for the Port of Mogán. The agency rejected calls from the Mayor of Mogán for the dismissal of high-ranking officials, asserting that the judgment should be interpreted strictly on its legal merits regarding the legitimacy of certain parties involved in the process.
