Puglia by UTMB concludes second edition in Italy

The second edition of Puglia by UTMB, an international trail running event, has concluded in Castellaneta Marina. The three-day event brought nearly 3,000 athletes from 68 different countries to the Taranto province and the neighboring Basilicata region.

The races featured diverse landscapes, including canyons, ravines, and inland trails leading toward the Ionian Sea. Beyond the athletic competition, the event served as a platform for sports tourism, showcasing the region's natural beauty and local traditions outside of the traditional summer beach season.

A central Ultra Trail Village was established in Castellaneta Marina, serving as a hub for participants, families, and local businesses to promote regional products and traditions.
