Puglia hosts traditional music festivals and celestial tours

The Salento region in Puglia is hosting several cultural and traditional events. In Lecce, the fourth edition of ‘Puglia in marcia’ is underway, a musical series organized by PugliArmonica and directed by Graziano Cennamo. The initiative features traditional band performances through the historic center, including scheduled parades by the Banda ‘Cadenza’ and Banda ‘Rocco Quarta’. The series concludes on August 24, coinciding with festivities for Saints Oronzo, Giusto, and Fortunato.

In Galatina, the ‘Galatina dall’Alto’ event is scheduled for August 12, 2026. This guided tour offers exclusive access to private terraces, rooftops, and historic palaces to view the city's baroque architecture. The event is timed to coincide with the Perseid meteor shower and a partial solar eclipse at sunset, providing a unique astronomical and architectural experience.
