Puglia implements educational vouchers and housing redevelopment

The Puglia region is implementing significant social and infrastructural improvements through various funding initiatives. In Bari, the municipality has integrated local funds with regional resources to achieve 100% coverage for educational vouchers for the 2026/2027 academic year. These vouchers, aimed at families with children aged zero to three, will support access to accredited educational services.

Additionally, Puglia has secured 700 million euros from the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) for the redevelopment of public residential housing. This funding, managed by Arca Puglia, is designated to modernize approximately 7,000 social housing units. The project focuses on improving energy efficiency through thermal insulation, new window installations, and the integration of renewable energy sources like photovoltaic systems to combat energy poverty.
